Introduction to BlogShop (Fashion)

Important (Dont skip this paragraph!)

Dear blogshop owners,

Blogshoplist has moved! Its new website address is http://blogshoplist.homeip.net on 1 May 09. Please start using the new address to view all blog shops.

thank you very much
ycl

I will blog on how to start a blog shop and where to get supply. In addition, I will blog on my work for http://blogshoplist.homeip.net Hope many new blog shop owners will get help from my blogs. Do comment and share your tips on wholesaler, photograph, camera, modeling, forum and other community. Will be setting up a Facebook soon to connect all blog owners.

Blog shop costs almost nothing. To start a blogshop, it only needs your time, hard work and lots of creativity! And most importantly, your stick-to-it-iveness (Usually, it take about a year for your blogshop to take off!). Most successful "new" blogshops are not new at all, their owners have been around for quite sometimes, like previously partnered with someone else. As a matter of fact, she has past experience on where to get her regular stock, current mailing list and some fashion sense. It is always a learning in process and I hope you enjoy the journey. Do visit this blog often for the latest news and tips, to better your shop!

I recommend Nikon camera for your fashion shoot! It is better in quality than sony, samsung, panasonic, canon.

Please post your questions on the forum

Hi everyone,

I apologize if I could not reply your emails or comments. As I find that I am anwsering the same questions 8 out of 10 emails, I am moving all reply on the forum at

http://ipoh.blogdns.com/community/index.php?idCommunity=5074

Here is the place for you to ask all the questions on supplies. It is easier for me to answer in the forum than via email. I will do my best to share what i know. Please be generous to share with others blog owner too. Future questions via email to me will be intentionally misplaced and ignored! So make use of this forum to ask anything you want to know and to find what you want to buy.

Once things, do create a niche if you want to make a living on blogshop. Ask yourself what kind of customers are you targeting. People do not really buy anything that oppose their personality and self image. Have fun!

Thank you very much.

HTML code for blogshop

Yesterday, I meet up a girl who wants to start a blogshop at IKEA Alexandra. Similar to other new blog owners, she wants a blogshop to buy new clothes for herself and to sell them for a profit. That is the motive for all blogshop business.

Additionally, she is asking me for some code to make her livejournal theme. Simple code like HTML may come handy. I remember once people ask me for the code to make a "LJCut" in blogger. The coding is easy and you just need some guide on how to place it.

If possible, I will start a tutorial on coding your blogshop in Livejournal and Blogger. Very soon, I would have a forum for anyone to post questions or just to promote their blogshop at

http://blogshoplist.homeip.net Her comment is that it is confusing with all the list crumble together... I better do some house cleaning soon...:)

I am looking to change my domain name, any ideas?

marketplace control

I find that adding control may be a good things to a market. The popular community at livejournal are sgselltrade and sgflea.

Both markets are regulated by moderators. To make browsing effective and something new to the buyer, seller can only post every 5 days at sgselltrade. They tends to have more buyers than other "no government" community.

Should the community member regulates themselves or should a small group of moderators regulate the posts? I do not understand what benefit people have being a moderator.

To attract buyers to blogshoplist and make browsing more easy, I will add a control to update advert text to once a week.

Just talk to a new blog owner, and she notices there is a trend for new comers with their own design. However, these new comers are not new at all. Most are experience blog owners partnering with someone new. If you come across someone new and doing very well, do comments here.

Points to work on
1) Messy with all the comments - to be relocate ... Have not work on this point since last year.... going to minimize my site soon
2) Popular - too messy to read, go to see and learn from the good... How to start a blogshop...
3) No easy way to understand the frontpage - too many things, and blogshop logo may not big enough? Stuck at the search input... How to make buyer to auto scroll downward? Use diagram...
4) Focus on "start a blogshop" in google... to get tune SEO
